Unit Context:
ITS Workforce Solutions Unit Context - ITSWS, a unit within the Corporate Solutions vertical of ITS, is responsible for maintaining workforce solutions supporting approximately 19,000+ regular staff, 20,000+ non-regular staff in offices worldwide and 15,000+ WBG retirees and beneficiaries. The IT solutions landscape managed by this unit supports the entire employee life cycle including Recruitment, Talent & Performance Management, Staff Learning, Personnel Administration, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Tax and Pension Administration. The work program of this unit includes providing services that cover strategic advice to internal business partners, all aspects IT solution implementation - developing business requirements, design, implementation, and ongoing operational maintenance.
Position Overview:
The ITS Workforce Solutions (ITSWS) unit is looking for an Extended Term Consultant (ETC) who will serve as the SAFe Scrum Master/Team Coach for the Staff Development team. They will serve as a facilitator for the Agile Team, guiding them through iteration events and processes to support teams and Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in delivering value. This role is crucial in nurturing the maturity of Agile Teams by promoting Agile values, principles, and best practices. The Scrum Master is responsible for removing impediments, fostering a high-performance team environment, and driving continuous improvement and flow.
Responsibilities:
•Team Coaching: Guide teams in self-organization and self-management to improve effectiveness within the SAFe framework.
•Scrum Mastery: Demonstrate a strong passion for Agile frameworks and improve Scrum maturity by applying Scrum techniques and artifacts, including user story refinement and backlog management.
•Conflict Resolution: Aid in resolving interpersonal conflicts, promoting effective problem-solving and decision-making within the team.
•Servant Leadership: Focus on the needs of team members and those they serve, using persuasion to align with organizational values and business objectives.
•Mentoring: Support personal development and encourage a continuous learning mindset, guiding teams to independently solve problems.
•Transparency: Ensure transparency by inspecting artifacts, identifying discrepancies, and detecting anti-patterns.
•Event Facilitation: Coordinate cadence-based events to sync efforts and hold retrospectives for continuous improvement.
•Agile Education: Educate teams on methods beyond Scrum, such as SAFe, Kanban, and Built-in Quality
•Adoption of SAFe Framework: Prepare teams to adopt SAFe framework and participate in PI Planning events.
